Allison, tell us more about you:
I’m Allison Scholes, the boss lady in sweatpants and I’m from good ole’ Illinois where you never know what kind of weather we’ll have!

I’m a Brand Strategist & Stock Photographer. I help mompreneurs build their brand online in only minutes a day—even when those minutes are hard to come by. I supply the simple and creative marketing tools to boost your business with confidence and ease. I believe social media should be fun and easy, no daunting!

How did you get started with your business?

I decided to go into business for myself because I hated to be away from my kids and I simply didn’t want to work for someone else!

How long have you been in business?
I’ve been in business just over 2 years and just like everyone else, there are ups and downs to being a mompreneur.

What advice can you give those just starting out in your industry?
To those of you who are just starting out, don’t go it alone like I thought I could. Find a community of mom bosses or a business mentor.

What does your daily ''Behind-the-scene'' looks like?
My daily routine involves jounaling, reading, shoving the kids out the door to school, social media engagement, recording and editing for my podcast, taking and editing photos, writing and creating content, all while in sweatpants and sporting a mom bun!

What is one of your biggest struggle? How do you overcome it?
My biggest struggle is slowing down! I want to do everything quickly, but I’ve learned that’s just sloppy! Time blocking everything has kept me focused on the end result.

What’s your favorite tip/trick/tool related to your industry?
My favorite tools right now are creative apps for Instagram Stories, like Unfold, Mojo and StoryChic

What are the results you achieve for your clients? Examples?
Currently I provide a stock photo membership to busy mompreneurs! Every month they receive photos + captions for social media…HUGE timesaver!

What's the biggest obstacle you've come across in your business?
How did you overcome that and what advice would you give to others? My biggest obstacle in my business was narrowing in on a niche because I wanted to do so much, but a business mentor helped me discover my zone of genius!
